This collage painting is on heavy watercolor paper with deckled edges. Several paintings were torn into collage pieces and integrated into the original work to create interesting and unexpected passages. The entire piece reflects the darkness as well as the dazzling light of an alpine winter day. It is float mounted in a natural wooden frame under archival plexiglass. The framed dimensions are 34x26x2. The layers of pink, orange and mossy greens remind me of the dappled light and abundant life underneath the forest's leafy canopy. This painting will be for sale at the Museum of Northern California Art in Chico beginning May 17.
