This mixed media painting was inspired by the view of Mt. Shasta from the trail surrounding Lake Siskiyou. It was twilight, and the snow on the mountain reflected the setting sun, spilling pink and gold light onto the lake in a stunning reflection that reminded me of a mirror of pearls. The painting is framed in a simple maple floater frame. It will be for sale at the Museum of Northern California Art in Chico beginning May 17.
