The inspiration for this painting was the way a dense mist enclosed Mt. Shasta, a 14,000 foot mountain in the far reaches of California. the sun was setting, and just the peak of the mountain could be seen above the mist, bathed in golden light. I used mixed media on a cradled panel and framed the piece in a light wood floater frame.
