This painting was created by layering blues and pinks on an under painting with a palette knife to create the texture that shows through the subsequent layers of translucent paint. I wanted the image to shimmer the way meadows do on a hot summer day. It is painted with acrylics and pastels, and floated in a simple wooden frame.
