The rosy reds, mossy greens and deep blues in this abstract mountain scene reminded me of redbud trees blooming at the end of winter, just as the snow is beginning to melt. This painting was created with layers of collage embedded in acrylics, highligted by pastels and charcoal. It is on heavy watercolor paper with deckled edges, mounted on mat board and floated in a natural wood frame behind archival plexiglass .
